This event will connect farmers and growers with community projects to discuss how to get more local food (and surplus) to community groups, and identify what is most needed. With examples from around the UK, including Tamar Grow Local.
What do food projects actually want? What models exist to pay for this food? What produce is hard to access locally for some cultural / ethnic groups and can this be grown? What are the surplus supply arrangements and what good food is currently not getting distributed effectively? Who in the area can supply / wants better food – and can you work together?
We would particularly like to welcome Oxfordshire groups.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. You do not need an ORFC ticket to attend this session.
