This free Zoom webinar, on Tuesday 21 November, 12:30 to 2:30pm, will cover how to work well to meet the practical, social and cultural needs of these groups, and how to begin food provision if you already work in this area but are new to food support.
Speakers from around the UK will share their expertise in sourcing and preparing food, meeting regulations, social eating spaces, working with hotel residents and community kitchens. We will hear from people with lived experience.
There are many groups with expertise in food provision and many others with expertise with this client group, but without specialist expertise in food support. This event is for both types of groups.
The event is aimed at food banks, community cafes, pantries and social supermarkets, groups supporting hotel residents and groups providing advice and support to asylum seekers. The event is open; anyone with an interest is welcome to attend.
