Hester is Programme Manager of the Oxford Real Farming Conference. Prior to joining the Real Farming Trust in 2024, she worked as a chef and as a researcher for food think tank TABLE. She holds a PhD in environmental politics from the University of Cambridge and has studied at Harvard University and Duke University. She writes regularly about food, politics, and the environment. Her writing appears in Vittles, the Times Literary Supplement, and TANK Magazine amongst others. She lives in London.
