Richard farms in Wiltshire on their family farm at Yatesbury. The farm works biodynamically (since 2004), organically (since 1998), holistically, with a living soil and growing team of people, cultivating cereals, without ploughing, raising cattle and diverse leys, welcoming nature, and all in a forest farm approach. He is also a trustee of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and visiting fellow at the University of Reading lecturing in Integrated Weed Management, and Rethinking Agricultural Systems. Richard’s PhD focused on soil regeneration; his most recent scientific paper shows their farm system storing soil carbon at a rate 2 to 3 times faster than difficult to achieve global targets. Richard has a vision where Farming serves all life.
