Food Poverty: What’s it got to do with me?

With Sophie Aoun, Vic Borrill, Rosaleen Earley, Ed Hamer, Graham Willett and Suzy Russell.

All of our food and farming activities have both environmental and social impacts. In the absence of decent policy for social justice, food poverty in the communities we live and work in is widespread. As food and farming enterprises, we can make a difference but the task is not easy. A first step to engaging is learning from groups that specialise in addressing food poverty and exploring practical solutions to welcoming wider access, while still managing the budget. Reaching out is likely to both deepen our social impact and to enrich our organisations. In this session we ask whether our food and farming enterprises can be involved and hear about practical solutions from groups tackling food poverty.
